


B. 1929 - An Illinois landscapist and educator, Harold Gregor is one of several Midwestern artists termed The Heartland Painters and is regarded as the Elder Statesman of the movement. (Gerald Peters Gallery). In 1973, he began combining photography and abstraction to create "flatscape," a combination of realistic depiction of color with abstract handling of color.
